Loose Weight with a Low Glycemic Diet

Weight Loss with Low Glycemic Diet

Weight Loss Strategies

It’s logic that no one in their right mind would make a conscious decision for being extra heavy, would you?. There are no real benefits for being fat. Being heavy carries so many impractical implications with it that it just can’t be all that much fun.

Chubbiness also restricts general movement of the body. Being flabby makes you feel lethargic, even lazy, but it can certainly encourage you to eat even more of the wrong foods that have got you there in the first place. Comparatively, many obese people do not believe they look as good as they could do and some even develop a dislike or maybe a hate for their own body. Tubbiness certainly doesn’t make you feel as good as you could feel, and some say it even dampens your sex life. But more importantly it increases your risk of ill health – and of that there’s no doubt. It is even believed to reduce your life span. There is an abundance of medical evidence to prove this is so, and the effects of obesity will now be so bad that some believe that a great many of our children of today can be the first generation never to outlive their parents. The truth is hard but simple – being flabby and obese encumbers our lives in so many ways…So why can we allow this to happen, why can we do that to ourselves?

So we now sit in the course of an corpulence epidemic and in reality, no one really wants to be or has chosen to get heavy or obese. And that is despite over 200 million websites of eating habits plans, diet regime pills and diet regime potions. And then there’s the authority suggestion, the medical advice, the recommendation of nutritionists and untold food intake companies – all unusually wanting to take your custom. So what isn’t working? We only have to take in the moment and pause…look around us to see that something is obviously very very wrong. And do the government want it for being so? I don’t believe so, as heaviness costs our nation billions of dollars a year. It is perhaps more the case that they are not really sure of how to tackle this self inflicted epidemic, which is second only to smoking in the stakes of measurable loss of life.

So why? Why do we intentionally inflict this self induced ‘illness’ upon ourselves? Incredibly, despite the fact we know which foods we must always eat, we know which foods are good for us and we know which are the ‘badies’. But despite all this, we still eat too much and too much of the wrong stuff. We still self inflict the misery of obesity upon ourselves.

If a close friend appeared for being alarmed and severe in telling you that the food you were almost to eat, contained the deadly poison arsenic in it, your natural reaction that i see to stop ‘dead in your tracks’ or at the least hesitate to confirm. Are they kidding? Do they mean it? And that could be our dilemma in a nut shell. We don’t experience an immediate or real threat to our lives when we are eating what is deemed to get food that is certainly ‘bad’ for us. Some processed foods, most fast foods and all junk foods. we are accustomed to eating it and our ‘egos’ accepts it and therefore there is no threat to our instinctive survival mechanisms. Our primeval instinct to survive does not ‘see’ eating as a threat to life itself. we are natural eating ‘machines’. And so if our ‘egos’ accepts it – we do.

Is there an option to do nothing as an individual? Can we allow to wait for the miracle ‘diet regime drug’ to stem our appetite? Only you can decide. But would you want to be on ‘diet drugs’ for the rest of your life – day in day out drug dependent just for the sake of…eating? Experts say most would not and it almost sounds ludicrous to even consider the option. There is another method…and that could be to go back to basics.

We have existed on this planet for well over 2,000,000 years and for 99.5 percent of the time we survived well as the hunter and gatherer, and proudly became head of the food chain. No, I’m not suggesting in any shape or form that we must go back to living a ‘cave man’ life style, (even though it would probably be healthier!), but I am suggesting we must learn from our genetic inheritance. It is suggested that 99% of our nutritional genes have remained unchanged over that humongous period of time, and yet our diet in the last 50 years has changed beyond all recognition. Totally.

Who are we, apart from just mere mortals to ever think we are able to dictate to ‘Mother Nature’ in providing today’s diet regime, when man’s body has changed and mutated over million years of evolution to accept what is now thought being a much narrower range of ‘acceptable foods’. Our body is doing and saying what it has always done over hundreds and thousands of generations before us, and yet we elect not to listen. We choose to ignore the signs and believe “I’ll be alright”. Our ancestors left us a heritage of which we must be proud – but sadly we are failing to leave anything like as comparable.

For now, obesity still remains a matter of choice…but choice means a decision.

Are You Eating The Right Foods?

We are Eating the wrong Foods!

Cheeseburger Unhealthy Food Kills UsAbout a half million people die from food containing 'toxic' nutrients every year. More than 100 million Americans are still at risk and it cost the nation over $100 billion dollars a year. And yet on a daily basis no one seems to butt an eyelid, despite it still being a serious major problem – an epidemic in fact. Obesity, and of the self inflicted causes of disease it is second only to smoking. Left to current trends it is soon to take the number one slot. And yet, if the same magnitude and loss of life was attributed to Mad Cows Disease in our food chain, there would be a public outcry.

I mean, how can we have more than 100 million web pages of information about superfoods, nutrients, diet plans, pills and potions on the Internet and yet be in the middle of an obesity crisis? The only conclusion I can think of is that diets don't work. And yet people are still paying for it in one of 2 ways; with their money or with their health. Diet companies are quite happy to take a dieter's money but are dependent on a dieter's failure for their very own survival. Some even say diets are designed to fail. And now, there is insurmountable evidence that many appalling diseases are related to inappropriate nutrition and obesity, and yet 60% of Americans take little notice of it.

Why? It is because the act of eating presents no emotion of fear or threat to life and we are in fact genetically programmed to simple eat! We are biological 'eating machines'. So who is responsible? The food manufacturers, the government or us – the individual. In simple terms we all have choices as to what we decide to put inside our own body in the form of food, and therefore the ultimate responsibly lies with the individual in respect to their chosen diet. Obesity is having a massive impact on the western world at large with all the causes well documented but little in terms of real, solid and lasting solutions.

As a research specialists, we have severe concerns regarding the current obesity trends and have developed methodologies the help combat the problem for individuals based on 'our' nutritional inheritance. We have been on this planet for more than two million years and for 99.5% of this time as hunter and gatherer, consuming a diet of predominantly consisting of meat, fish, fruit and vegetables and with plenty of water as the main source of liquid refreshment.

Our nutritional inheritance was and is still is well defined, and perhaps has less tolerance to variation than originally thought. You cannot so drastically change the human diet as we have today and not expect a reaction from Mother Nature herself. It is, and it always will be the survival of the healthiest and the fittest. And the fittest are those who can adapt to their environment. We also have to face the facts of the three key revolutions we have encountered during the past century – the Agricultural, the Industrial and Technological revolution, which all have significantly contributed to our demise. We no longer work for our food and we are far from being scared about not having anything to eat. Today we work less and therefore need less, but as a people we are eating more than necessary .

If we want to solve this problem. we must go back to the basics and change our nutrition towards a diet that is aligned to the nutritional needs and expectation of our body derived over millions of years of evolution. We need to take action to be able to change to a nutrition and a lifestyle that our body was originally designed for. This can be the only natural solution for a good diet and healthy foods except you want to wait until we are able to engineer nutritional genes to control appetite, and who knows what else… or we accept a lifetime of consuming superfoods to achieve the same aim.

These natural concepts have been detailed in many publications about Superfoods, allowing everyone to review their attitude and thought process about their own diet and nutrition to that of their inheritance. Everybody is responsible by themselves for what they eat and how healthy they want to live.
