With the steadily increasing selection of fast food burger and fish shops, and restaurants serving huge portions of not very healthy food, it's hard to get your head on straight and eat the right things. Even though it is very important for your health to get the right nutrition in your daily diet, it's hard to know what exactly those right foods are. Let me tell you something about Superfoods and explain the difference between 'normal food' and Superfoods.

Your body and your mind need a certain amount and combination of nutrients to function at the highest possible level. You usally get these nutrients by eating food, but here is the catch; not all food provides the same nutrition. Some foods are better than others. Some foods are even bad for your health, and eating them can increase your risks for diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetis and more. Some foods will give you good energy and the nutrients you need. And then there are the best foods which are extraordinary rich in nutrients; these foods are called superfoods. These superfoods contain various substances such as minerals, antioxidants and enzymes. We need to have theses substances because they have shown to improve our overall health and reduce the risk of getting sick. We don't need to get all of the diseases that plague people all over the civilized world today, we just need to eat the right foods.

We define disease as an impairment of health by a condition of the body or mind that causes dysfunction. We can define health as a condition of the body that is free from disease. If you eat food that is unhealthy for you and doesn't contain the nutrients you need, it can lead to malnutrition. If you have malnutrition, you may not even notice it but it could lead to disease or great risk for disease.

Superfoods are especially good for you because they are so rich in the minerals and nutrients that your body needs. Since they also contain substances that have been proven to improve your health, they have a huge impact to your general health. There are so many benefits to eating Superfoods that there really is no excuse not to work them into your daily diet. Superfoods contain compounds such as omega-3 fatty acids, monounsaturated fats, phytochemicals (natural chemicals found in plants) and dietary fiber. All Superfoods have been clinically tested and the health claims have been proven.

If you add just a few Superfoods to your diet you can improve your health by a lot. You will keep your heart healthy, boost your immune system to stay free of illness, find that you can lose weight easier, keep from getting diabetes, and prevent certain types of cancer and so much more. Keeping Superfoods in your diet will allow you to age much easier without all of the little health bumps in the road.

If your diet consists of eating too many calories and unhealthy foods, you run the risk of becoming obese. When you eat bad foods, they may also provide you with the nutrients you need, but will also do damage to your body at the same time. Eating bad foods once in awhile will not do any damage, but if you make a routine out of it, eventually the ill effects will begin to surface. If you stick to Superfoods then your body will get all of the nutrients it needs without the extra calories and unhealthy ingredients.
